The nominations for the 54th annual Ivor Novello Awards have been announced, with Elbow and Duffy coming out of top with three nominations each.

Elbow will go head to head with The Last Shadow Puppets for the most prestigious award, "Best Song Musically And Lyrically," while they'll battle it out with The Ting Tings for "Best Contemporary Song." Radiohead's Johnny Greenwood also earned a nomination for his score of the Oscar winning film "There Will Be Blood."

The award ceremony takes place at London's Grosvenor House on May 21st
