It's the first single taken from 'Subtract'
It's only been a week since he announced the release of his fifth album 'Subtract', and now Ed Sheeran has previewed its latest single.
'Eyes Closed' will be released on March 24th and Sheeran took to Tik Tok to whet fans' appetites with a piano version of the song, as well as a short clip of it played on acoustic guitar.

The album was produced and co-written by Aaron Dessner of The National, who has worked with the likes of Taylor Swift and Mumford and Sons over the last few years.
Sheeran had previously spoken about how it was influenced by recent tough events in his life - most notably the death of his friend Jamal Edwards and his wife Cherry undergoing treatment for a tumour that was discovered while she was pregnant with their second child.
"As an artist I didn’t feel like I could credibly put a body of work into the world that didn’t accurately represent where I am and how I need to express myself at this point in my life," he said. "This album is purely that. It’s opening the trapdoor into my soul. For the first time I’m not trying to craft an album people will like, I’m merely putting something out that’s honest and true to where I am in my adult life."
'Subtract' will be released on May 5th and Sheeran will play Dublin's 3Arena on March 30th.
