Lap up your Shape of Yous, your Perfects, your Thinking Out Louds and your Sings while you can - if Ed Sheeran is to be believed, those poppy numbers will be a thing of the past for his next album.
The Suffolk singer has revealed that he plans to take a very different direction with his next album - and actor Kit Harington, aka Game of Thrones' Jon Snow, is the man responsible.
Sheeran told The Sunday Times that Harington introduced him to Bruce Springsteen's album 'Nebraska' several years back, and that he was planning to take a more 'lo-fi' direction with his future material.
"My plan is a lo-fi album that will be my lowest-selling, but most loved," he confidently predicted. “I only heard Springsteen recently. I was with Kit from Game Of Thrones. We had a night out in New York, got back to his hotel to drink more, and he played ‘Atlantic City’.
