He teased fans yesterday with a pledge of a 'Christmas present' for fans today at 11am, and now Ed Sheeran has come good on his promise.
The British pop star has been largely off the scene this year, as he grapples with fatherhood; his first daughter Lyra was born in August.
However, he's given fans a bit of an early Christmas present in the form of new track 'Afterglow', which is out now.
The track was accompanied by a message from Sheeran which read: "Hey guys. Afterglow is a song I wrote last year that I wanted to release for you. It’s not the first single from the next album, it’s just a song I love, and hope you love too. Enjoy ! Have a wonderful festive break and New Years. Back to dad land for me now, ciao x”
