The impromptu set took place at Wayne Lineker's club yesterday
He's one of the biggest pop stars on the planet, but Ed Sheeran isn't too cool to play a few cheesy covers.
Sheeran surprised clubbers at the O Beach club - which is owned by Wayne Lineker - yesterday, when he turned up unannounced and decided to sing a few tunes alongside the in-house DJs.
Wine glass in hand, he started off with his own song 'Shape of You' before taking a swerve into '90s pop with 'I Want It That Way' and Britney Spears' '... Baby One More Time'.
He finished off with one for the mammies in the crowd, playing Neil Diamond's 'Sweet Caroline'.
Promoter Joshua Makinson said that he was "blown away" by Sheeran's surprise appearance. We’ve had artists turn up in the past and perform," he said, "but to have one of the biggest pop stars in the world perform is magical."
