He may have survived a pretty horrific terror attack at the Bataclan in Paris in 2015, but Jesse Hughes has courted controversy with his comments on gun control and conspiracy theories ever since.
The Eagles of Death Metal frontman had previously been criticised for suggesting that the security staff of the Bataclan had been in on the November 2015 massacre and had surprised many people with his pro-gun stance, despite going through such a horrible experience.
Now, his opinions on the same issue are generating headlines again, after he took to Instagram to have his say.
In a series of long and rambling posts - some of which have since been deleted - Hughes called the various 'March for Our Lives' gun control protests held over the weekend 'pathetic' and 'disgusting'.
"As the survivor of a mass shooting I can tell you from first-hand experience that all of you protesting and taking days off from school insult the memory of those who were killed and abuse and insult me and every other lover of liberty by your every action," he wrote.
He also labelled the students from Parkland, Florida, who recently had 17 of their schoolmates killed in a mass shooting, as 'disgusting vile abusers of the dead' and singled out Parkland student Emma Gonzales, accusing her of 'treason' in a post since deleted.
