The death of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher appears to have ushered Wizard of Oz track 'Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead' to the top of the UK singles charts.

The 'Iron Lady', as she was dubbed, was a fiercely divisive figure among people in the UK and Ireland and her passing has seemingly been celebrated and mourning in equal measure, depending on your political perspectives.

Hours after Thatcher's death a Facebook campaign to get Judy Garland's hit song from the Wizard of Oz into the charts began. The song has a duration of just 51 seconds and could potentially be one of the shortest songs in the history of the UK charts.

Frankly I'm not quite sure what to make of this. Is anyone else uncomfortable with the idea of celebrating someone's passing in this manner? She may have been a complete opposite to many of us in political terms but shouldn’t that have been celebrated when she left power, not when she died of a stroke at age 87?
