The Rathcoole man played the first of two hometown gigs to cap off a huge 2019
Dermot Kennedy is undoubtedly the Irish breakout star of 2019, so it goes without saying that tickets for his Christmas gigs at the 3Arena were in high demand.
The 'Outnumbered' singer played the first of two dates at the Dublin venue last night, with the second taking place tonight.
By the looks of things - and the fact that his name was trending on Twitter - it was both a big end to the year for him, and a great start to the Christmas holidays for his fans.
Are you heading along tonight? Some of these tweets will undoubtedly have you amped-up, if so...

From first seeing @DermotKennedy in the Button Factory, to Vicar Street, to Malahide Castle and now to the 3Arena. Seeing him be absolutely speechless to the response he got tonight was just incredible, most humble and love filled man I've ever seen, deserves every second of it.
