We already know that Dave Grohl is an international treasure, but the Foo Fighters frontman has really come into his own lately.

Not only did Grohl endorse (and contribute to) the star-studded charity cover version of 'Times Like These' for the BBC, but he's been making a difference in individuals' lives, too.

His most recent good deed entailed a very special performance on Jimmy Kimmel's show the other night, when the pair teamed up to surprise a New York health worker with a rendition of 'Everlong'.

Kimmel has been running a #HealthCareHeroes series to thank those working on the frontline, and the latest recipient was New York trauma nurse TJ Riley, who happens to be a big Foo Fighters fan.

He was surprised by Kimmel mid-interview when Grohl dropped into the conversation - and then serenaded him with an acoustic version of one of the Foo Fighters' most-loved songs.
