Grohl took a swipe at Swift's band over the weekend

If you were waiting for a new music feud, Foo Fighters vs. Taylor Swift was probably not one that most people were expecting.

However, it seems that over the weekend, Dave Grohl's potshot at Taylor Swift while his band were playing London, suggesting that the singer's band do not play live.

Foo Fighters were playing London Stadium on Saturday night, and Grohl made reference to the fact that Swift was playing in the nearby Wembley Arena on her 'Eras' tour - which saw boos from the crowd.

In response, Grohl joked: "I tell you, man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift."

He added: "So we like to call our tour the ‘Errors Tour.’ We’ve had more than a few eras, and more than a few fucking errors as well. Just a couple. That’s because we actually play live." As the crowd cheered, he continied: "What? Just saying. You guys like raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music, right? You came to the right fucking place."

It seems that Grohl's needling has not passed Swift by, as last night at her third Wembley gig, she made a pointed comment to the audience by saying her band were thankful to "be playing live for you for three and a half hours tonight."

She added: "They deserve this so much. And so does every one of my fellow performers. And you just gave that to us so generously, we will never forget it."

Some have speculated that Grohl's apparent dislike of Swift stems from the fact that his daughter Violet was targeted by Swifties following her criticising of Swift's private jet usage.

Swifties, meanwhile, came out in force to defend their girl...

Either way, it's only a matter of time before we see a kiss-and-make-up collaboration. Right?

Swift's Eras tours hits Dublin this weekend.
