Grohl took a swipe at Swift's band over the weekend
If you were waiting for a new music feud, Foo Fighters vs. Taylor Swift was probably not one that most people were expecting.
However, it seems that over the weekend, Dave Grohl's potshot at Taylor Swift while his band were playing London, suggesting that the singer's band do not play live.
Foo Fighters were playing London Stadium on Saturday night, and Grohl made reference to the fact that Swift was playing in the nearby Wembley Arena on her 'Eras' tour - which saw boos from the crowd.
In response, Grohl joked: "I tell you, man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift."
He added: "So we like to call our tour the ‘Errors Tour.’ We’ve had more than a few eras, and more than a few fucking errors as well. Just a couple. That’s because we actually play live." As the crowd cheered, he continied: "What? Just saying. You guys like raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music, right? You came to the right fucking place."

It seems that Grohl's needling has not passed Swift by, as last night at her third Wembley gig, she made a pointed comment to the audience by saying her band were thankful to "be playing live for you for three and a half hours tonight."
She added: "They deserve this so much. And so does every one of my fellow performers. And you just gave that to us so generously, we will never forget it."
Some have speculated that Grohl's apparent dislike of Swift stems from the fact that his daughter Violet was targeted by Swifties following her criticising of Swift's private jet usage.
Does anyone remember when Swifties sent Dave Grohl’s 17 year old daughter death threats for criticizing Taylor’s private jet usage?
Have you considered that she also uses a myriad of backing tracks live, whereas Foo Fighters does not, which is absolutely what he’s referring to? https://t.co/lhvVVP03Il— noveltysongs (@noveltysongs) June 23, 2024
Wow I wonder what prompted Dave Grohl to take a little swipe at Taylor Swift? I’m sure it’s totally unprovoked & not at all to do with his 17-year-old daughter being relentlessly trolled & sent death threats from Swifties because of this totally innocuous tweet back in January. pic.twitter.com/NJetVw9aa2

Swifties, meanwhile, came out in force to defend their girl...
Dave Grohl saying Taylor Swift is lipsyncing and using backing tracks on her 3+ hour pop show is obviously the most awful misogynistic thing ever said by a musician towards another pic.twitter.com/v03qRWrZ8l

Dave Grohl attacking Taylor has broken my heart … lost all respect for him. How can you speak about the one person in pop music industry who is actually talented … plays their own instruments & songs live for 3 hours!!!!

First Damon Albarn, now it’s Dave Grohl. Aging rockstars feeling threatened by a woman. Who’s afraid of little old Taylor Swift? These men are. pic.twitter.com/3z2tcMBvo5

📩 Attention: Dave Grohl
Not only does Taylor (+ her band) play & perform live every show, she also has elaborate choreography & intricately designed sets/costume changes for her Eras Tour. She transports you into the world of the music she performs. Your disrespect is uncalled… pic.twitter.com/bL4FKdUZQj— chels 🫶🏼 (@rumorzfrominez) June 23, 2024
Either way, it's only a matter of time before we see a kiss-and-make-up collaboration. Right?
Swift's Eras tours hits Dublin this weekend.
