CMAT, Lankum and Jazzy are all up for the prestigious songwriting awards

There's been a lot of talk about the 'green wave' of Irish talent engulfing Hollywood, but it seems that Ireland's music scene is just as healthy these days, too.

No less than three Irish acts have been nominated for prestigious Ivor Novello songwriting awards.

Dublin-born artist CMAT, is nominated for her second album 'Crazymad, for Me' in the 'Best Album' category, while folk group Lankum are also nominated in the same category for their album 'False Lankum', which won the Choice Music Prize for Irish Album of the Year 2023 in March.

Meanwhile, dance-pop artist Jazzy, who like CMAT was recently nominated for a BRIT Award, has been nominated in the 'Most Performed Work' category for her song 'Giving Me' - which has clocked up 137 million streams on Spotify alone.

The ceremony takes place in London on May 23rd.
