New York based electronic pop outfit School of Seven Bells have announced via their Facebook page that singer and keyboardist Claudia Deheza has left the band, leaving her twin sister Alejandra and former Secret Machine Benjamin Curtis to continue on without her.

The post in question reads, "We just wanted to let you all know that Claudia has left the band for personal reasons. In the meantime, we are excited to continue to write and tour as usual, and we're very much looking forward to seeing you all at our upcoming shows."

I'm actually a bit gutted about this one. The Dehezas' airy harmonies are so central to SVIIB's shoegazey dream-pop that there's really not much point in them continuing without her. Sniff, sniff, tear...
