Former Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman Chris Cornell has announced details of a show in Dublin's Olympia Theatre on 13th June.
The grunge icon is bringing his Songbook tour to Europe this summer. Fans in Ireland, the UK and across Europe will get the chance to see Chris perform unplugged, up close and personal.
The much-anticipated acoustic Songbook tour provides fans an intimate "Storytellers" like setting where Cornell easily interacts with his audience and share insights about his music. Cornell states, "Songbook was created for my fans."
The tour highlights Chris Cornell’s entire catalogue, including Soundgarden, Audioslave and Temple of the Dog. Familiar songs emerge in a new context that showcases the depth and breadth of Chris Cornell's songwriting talents.
Ranked as "one of the best voices in music history," Cornell has successfully maintained his own unique identity over more than two decades as a multi-Grammy award winning musician, Golden Globe nominee and universally acclaimed singer, songwriter and lyricist.
Chris Cornell released Songbook last year to wide critical acclaim. The album includes the song “The Keeper” which was nominated for a Golden Globe award in 2012.
