The students and engineers of Dublin's Sound Training Centre will follow last year's successful covers album 'Sparks N' Mind' with another charity offering.
While 'Sparks N' Mind' aimed to raise funds for Aware with covers by Bell X1, Lisa Hannigan, Damian Dempsey, Ham Sandwich and more, 'Behind Closed Doors' is set to feature acoustic performances from The Corrs, David Geraghty, Juno Falls, Delorentos, Ollie Cole, Noise Control and Neosupervital. Recording is set to take place during the next month, with a launch scheduled for late April or early May. Proceeds from 'Behind Closed Doors' will go to the ISPCC.
Meanwhile, over in the States, Filter Magazine have teamed up with American Eagle to release a compilation album in aid of Oxfam America's Haitian relief effort.
Entitled 'Hear to Help', the album will feature songs from Keane, Air, Vampire Weekend and Camera Obscura, as well as Snow Patrol covering Bright Eyes' 'You Will. You? Will. You? Will. You? Will', Of Montreal playing Franz Ferdinand's 'Take Me Out' live, and Grizzly Bear doing Hot Chip's 'Boy From School'. The album will be available online via AE.com from tomorrow, Wednesday February 24th. The full tracklist is as follows:
