Mutya Buena has been awarded the rights to the name of the girlband she left in 2005 - Sugababes. Well, sort of. Buena had announced she would be pursuing legal action to win the rights to the Sugabaes brand, which now has no original members since Keisha Buchanan quit the group in 2009. Initially it was thought that Buena had won the full rights, but it appears now that she has only gained rights to paper, cardboard and goods - so that's wrapping paper and such. The current incarnation of Sugababes do not as of yet have to change their name, but it means it's a step closer to Buena being allowed to reunite the original members and tour as The Sugababes, if they so wish.
