The 7-piece boyband have been praised for their cover of the indie anthem
They are undoubtedly one of the biggest boybands in the world right now, so it's only right that BTS should follow in the hallowed footsteps of the likes of Nirvana, Pearl Jam and George Michael.
The South Korean band are far from the first pop act to appear on the show, which first ran from 1989 to 1999 and now returns sporadically for 'specials'. Nevertheless, the seven-piece band nodded to an indie/rock act when they performed an unexpected cover of Coldplay's 'Fix You' on their special, which aired in the US last night.
It wasn't quite 'unplugged' as the backing track was essentially the same as the original - but to give them credit, the 'Dynamite' stars make a fair first of the track by Chris Martin and co.
Band member Jimin said: "This song gave us comfort, so we wanted to prepare this cover to comfort you as well."
