The singer and activist has caused some controversy for his comments
Known animal rights activist and vegan Bryan Adams has launched a scathing tirade against the people who started the worldwide situation we are all finding ourselves living in.
The Canadian rocker took to social media recently to highlight his dismay at not being able to perform his tenancy at London's Royal Albert Hall. The Bryan Adams tirade takes aim at people he has called "f**king bat eating, wet market selling, virus making greedy bastards".
In the lengthy Instagram post, the musician also spoke of missing other family members, his tour crew, and his fans. He posted:
CUTS LIKE A KNIFE. A song by me. Tonight was supposed to be the beginning of a tenancy of gigs at the @royalalberthall, but thanks to some fucking bat eating, wet market animal selling, virus making greedy bastards, the whole world is now on hold, not to mention the thousands that have suffered or died from this virus. My message to them other than “thanks a fucking lot” is go vegan. To all the people missing out on our shows, I wish I could be there more than you know. It’s been great hanging out in isolation with my children and family, but I miss my other family, my band, my crew and my fans. Take care of yourselves and hope we can get the show on the road again soon. I’ll be performing a snippet from each album we were supposed to perform for the next few days. X
The 60-year-old's dates at the Royal Albert Hall have since been rescheduled to April 2021, where he'll be performing three albums on three separate nights.
Here's the Bryan Adams tirade below, as well as the clip of him performing his song 'Cuts Like A Knife' from home.
Adams posted the clip and his comments on Twitter, before removing his post. However, his tweet hasn't gone unnoticed by users of the social media platform.
Here's how people have been viewing his comments online. Spoiler - it's not being taken very well at all, at all.
BRYAN ADAMS: ? wrote my first real racist tweet / my career already in decline / blaming the Chinese for my lack of income / was the summer of COVID one-nine ? pic.twitter.com/gvy9k4XlEc

So, what we learned today is that Dave Grohl is really cool and Bryan Adams is a giant asshole.
This doesn't feel like "new" information so much as confirmation of existing paradigms.

I’ve forgotten which one is Bryan Adams and which one is Ryan Adams and I’m not going to learn it again

Ugh. My Canadian heart. My 80’s self who wore out his tapes. Why did Bryan Adams have to implode? ? pic.twitter.com/4hpr8Dt77p

Who would have thought back in the 80’s that #BryanAdams would end up being the bonehead, while #RichardMarx would end up being the cool guy? ??♀️ pic.twitter.com/EaIDus0A7T
