British Sea Power will record the soundtrack to a film from the 1930s as their next project, reports NME.
The Brighton-based band are planning to head into the studio to record music to 1934's 'Man of Aran' after they're finished their current tour.
The film was shot by Robert Flaherty, and is a 'docufiction' of life on the Aran Islands. The characters portrayed in the film were real-life residents of the Islands, but many of the stories documented in it were fictitious.
The band intend to record the soundtrack, then perform it live at the British Film Institute next spring. The family of Robert Flaherty reportedly intend to re-release the film on DVD, along with BSP's soundtrack.
