Brighton rockers British Sea Power have an interesting project up their sleeves at the moment. They announced vica a myspace blog last week that they are to release a soundtrack to the classic 1934 documentary 'Man Of Aran.'
Despite being widely known for its mammoth inaccuracies, Man of Aran is an essential in any film student or documentary makers collection, and won the Grand Prix at the 1935 Venice Film Maker. It is due to be re-released on DVD in a new 2 disc package containing both the re-scored movie and a separate CD of the BSP soundtrack.
British Sea Power will perform the soundtrack live to the film at events in their home town of Brighton and at the British Film Institute in London this coming April.
