Safe to say the U2 frontman's hometown date went down well
Bono took to the stage of Dublin's Olympia Theatre last night for a rare solo outing to promote his new autobiography 'Surrender: 40 Songs, 40 Stories'.
Given the fact that Dublin is the U2 frontman's hometown, tickets for the performance - which is the smallest venue on his book tour - were snapped up within minutes.
Michael D. Higgins, Taoiseach Micheal Martin, Tanaiste Leo Varadkar and Charlie Bird were some of the luminaries in attendance - but if you're looking for footage of the show, you won't find it online.
The gig used Yondr technology - which meant that everyone in attendance had to place their phones in a sealed pouch for the duration of the show.
However, the show was filmed, so you may get a chance to see it in the future.
Until then, you'll get a flavour of what the show was like below - and stay tuned for our own review...
Brilliant from start to finish. I've said it here before, music is food for the soul and with the stories to go with Bono at @3olympiatheatre tonight this was a feast.
