Some people are more excited than others
News that Bono was penning his memoir first broke in 20, after U2's former manager Paul McGuinness let it slip in an interview.
But the Dublin-born rock star left it until his 62nd birthday on Tuesday to reveal the details of his first book.
'Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story' - each of its 40 chapters named after a U2 song, with original drawings by the singer accompanying them - will be published this November and U2 gave a preview of the memoir via social media, which you can see below.
Of course, given Bono and U2's divisiveness amongst Irish people, the reactions ranged from scornful to excited.
Some famous faces had something to say about the forthcoming tome, too.
See below for the biggest reactions:
Is there a chapter on how much tax he pays?

YES!!! That’s incredible, love the video, love the idea behind the chapters, love the title, just all of it is incredible! Feels wrong that we are the ones getting the best gift on your birthday, but nonetheless have an amazing day Bono - you never stop surprising us! ?
