Bob Dylan took to Facebook for the first time EVER on Tuesday to comment on the US presidential election.
Despite having 4 million likes on his official page Dylan has never previously updated his status....the times they are a changin' eh....sorry couldn't resist that one. Taking to his Facebook page ahead of the confirmation of Obama's win Dylan wrote. 'Here's pretty close to what I said last night in Madison. I said from the stage that we had to play better than good tonight, that the president was here today and he’s a hard act to follow. Also, that we’re not fooled by the media and we think it’s going to be a landslide. That’s pretty much all of it'.
Dylan used Facebook to clear up a statement he had made earlier at a concert in Madison where Obama had held a rally that same day. Dylan told the crowd 'We tried to play good tonight since the president was here today... Don't believe the media. I think it's going to be a landslide'. Not quite the landslide Dylan predicted but Obama managed to secure his place in The White House for another four years. Dylan was not the only celebrity who took to social media upon Obama's victory.
