Following their live reunion last year, Blur are to release their first new material together in seven years.
Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Dave Rowntree and Alex James are putting together a limited edition 7" vinyl single exclusively for Record Store Day (April 17th). It will feature a recently recorded new song, and will be the band's first new release single the 2003 single 'Good Song'.
Damon Albarn told The Sun "We want independent record store to continue, they're an important part of our musical culture ... Music is a simple way for Blur to show our support and we hope people like it."
There are only 1000 copies being made, and they will only be available at participating UK Record Shops. According to the BBC "EMI said further details would be released next week and that there are currently no plans to release the track on any other formats." Boo.
