"We need leaders who will solve problems... not deny them"
Billie Eilish is one of many this week who have taken to the media to condemn Donald Trump in the run-up to the next Presidential election.
Billie was invited to perform at the Democratic National Convention last night.
Before singing her single "My Future", after being introduced by emcee Kerry Washington, she had some damning words to say.
"You don't need me to tell you things are a mess," she commented. "Donald Trump is destroying our country and everything we care about.
"We need leaders who will solve problems like climate change and COVID, not deny them. Leaders who will fight against systemic racism and inequality."
The pop star continued: "That starts by voting for someone who understands how much is at stake, someone who's building a team that shares our values. It starts with voting against Donald Trump and for Joe Biden.
"Silence is not an option, and we cannot sit this one out."
She sang and played electric piano alongside her brother, Finneas O'Connell, who played the guitar.

The DNC continues tonight.
