Biffy Clyro's sixth long-player (which by the way is a double album) will be called Opposites. Last night the band also debuted a new track from the record – 'Stingin' Belle' – on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show.

The band told how fans will be able to pre-order Opposites, and get their hands on 'Stingin' Belle', from 17 September. You can hear the new track here and a good listen it is too.

Frontman Simon Neil told Lowe how, "It's a strange situation when you're revealing what you've been working on for the past couple of years – it doesn't get any easier, but it's still exciting... we're definitely a bit nervous but we're very excited." He also added that Opposites "might be our last really over the top record".

A mellow Biffy? Surely not.
