The annual celebration of the Beatles' only gig in Dublin is taking place on November 4th this year.
In previous years, the Dublin Beatles Festival had programmed a weekend-long event but this year a one-day 'Beatles Day' will run in The Workman's Club on November 4th.
Liverpool band The Rockits - who play at the Cavern Club every weekend - will play two sets that night, the first of which will be a selection of songs from The Beatles, while the second set will be the ‘Hits of the 60s’.
There will also be a performance of the the play 'John Lennon's Last Day', written by festival director and Fab Four superfan Stephen Kennedy, and a competition to find the person in Ireland who knows the most about The Beatles dubbed 'The Beatle Brain of Ireland.'
Tickets for all events are sold separately and go on sale via eventbrite.ie today.
