This is strangely beautiful
The world may be gradually reopening, but many arts venues and theatres remain unsure of their future in the wake of Covid-19.
However, one venue in the Spanish city of Barcelona has dusted the cobwebs off its rafters for a very unusual performance.
The city's opera house, also known as the Gran Teatre del Liceu, opened its doors for a performance the other day - but humans were not in attendance.
Instead, 2,292 houseplants from nearby nurseries were placed in the aisles to watch the UceLi string quartet perform. It was the brainchild of conceptual artist Eugenio Ampudia, and the quartet played Puccini's 'Crisantemi', which translates to 'Chrysanthemums', in keeping with the theme.
Afterwards, the plants were donated to frontline workers at local hospitals.
