Some important news this morning, folks: it looks like the era of the Nickelback joke is well and truly over. At least, according to Avril Lavigne.
The pop star, who was married to the band's frontman Chad Kroeger up until last year, did as any good wife would and defended her husband's honour when Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg had at pop at the rock band recently.
Zuckerberg was demonstrating his new A.I. Jarvis when he made a joke at their expense earlier in the week, asking it to "play some good Nickelback songs". It replies: “I’m sorry, Mark, I can’t do that. There are no good Nickelback songs.”
The jibe didn't go down well with Lavigne, who accused him of promoting "bullying" in a missive posted to Twitter.
