Lil Wayne has never been one to adhere to convention and, in true Weezy fashion, he has decided to hold a contest aimed at finding the best local rap talent in Ireland. The lucky winner will then bag a coveted support slot at Lil Wayne's first ever Irish concert in The O2 on October 9th.
How do you enter? It really couldn't be much easier. All you have to do is record your best rap to video and upload it to YouTube. It can be a capella or with a backing beat, solo or with a group. Then all that remains is to send the clip (via private message) to the FM104 Frank Jez Facebook page, all of this by 5pm on August 30th.
Jez will then chair a panel of judges, comprised of DJ Kalia Troy, DJ Ahmed Idris and Noel McHale of MCD who'll pare the entries down to the six best who'll compete against each other at the Hoodie Allen show at The Academy on 1st September, with the winner opening for Lil Wayne. The five runners up will all get VIP tickets to the show, too.
