The Rolling Stones this morning announced on Twitter that they will play an intimate gig tonight (Thursday 25th) in Paris, in preparation for their upcoming dates in New Jersey and London. French newspaper Le Parisien is predicting that the short show will be in taking place in a small 700-capacity venue Trabendo, located in the Parc de la Villette region of the city.

Tickets have been made available for €15 at the Virgin Megastore on the Champs Elysees and, no doubt, are already long gone. These tix could no doubt whip up a fortune on the black market but every effort is being made to rule that out, with names being printed on tickets and a photo ID an absolute necessity for entry. Any sort of photographic equipment is absolutely off limits too, so don't bet on seeing this show up on YouTube tomorrow morning.

The Stones last week announced details of a short series of concerts, organised to mark the band's 50th anniversary together. They'll play London's O2 on November 25th and 29th and the Prudential Centre in Newark, New Jersey, on December 13th and 18th.

Ronnie Wood recently told NME that the band will be completing a series of low-key practice gigs in advance of the big shows, the first of which is obviously tonight. Keep an eye on their Twitter page, though, for clues as to where they may play next. Bruxelles, anyone?
