Amy Winehouse will do in death what she wasn't able to do in life it seems, if rumours that she's set to undertake a world tour in hologram form prove to be true.

Winehouse, who died at the age of 27 in 2011, never managed to undertake a full-scale global tour during her career but, according to The Sun, billionaire Alki David wants to use the technology that temporarily resurrected Tupac in hologram form at Coachella two years ago to bring Winehouse around the world.

A *ahem* "source" was quoted by the tabloid as saying: "The plan is that Amy will finally tour the world after failing to do so when she was alive. With an orchestra and her hologram, she can take to the stage and fans can see her perform her legendary hits. The idea is in its early stages but it's hoped that Amy's dad Mitch will maybe join her and do the introductions."

Speaking of Mitch, he's apparently fully on board with this bizarre idea having said in the past that he'd give support to any idea what "Amy's fans would want", be it "a book, an album or a hologram."

It might just be us but would anybody really get that excited by seeing a facsimile of Amy Winehouse 'perform live'? The Tupac hologram at Coachella was interesting but that was only a sideshow during Snoop Dogg's set, it might get slightly taxing if you're expected to sit through a 90 minute set of Amy Winehouse singing from beyond the grave without a Winehouse-level of booze to ease the pain.
