The festival returns to Curraghmore House for the first time since 2019

One of the biggest Irish music festivals of the summer takes place this weekend when All Together Now rolls into the Curraghmore Estate in Co. Waterford from July 29th - 31st 2022.

It’s the first time that the festival has taken place since 2019 and it’s set to be a big one - with the likes of Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds and Underworld joining some of the brightest stars on the Irish music scene.

If you’re heading along, here’s everything you need to know.

CAN I STILL BUY TICKETS?

No - unfortunately, weekend camping and weekend family camping tickets are all sold out. There’s no day tickets available. However, if you already have a weekend ticket, you can buy an ‘early entry’ pass, which allows you into the campsite from 4pm on Thursday. It costs €24.

WHO’S PLAYING?

The line-up this year includes Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Underworld, Groove Armada, Jungle, Rufus Wainwright, King Gizzard and the Wizard Lizards, Self Esteem, Floating Points and more - plus a host of Irish acts like Gilla Band, Cmat, The Murder Capital, Pillow Queens, Denise Chaila, A Lazarus Soul and much more.

IS THERE NON-MUSIC STUFF?

Apart from the music, there’s loads on via the ‘All Curious Minds’ programme. It includes musicians, authors, spoken word artists, actors, songwriters and household names - from actor Aidan Gillen to director Jim Sheridan, musician Vashti Bunyan, live podcast recordings from Donal Dineen, James Kavanagh, Mark Logan and much more.

There’s also lots of other stuff on site - including a comedy stage, immersive experience The Last City, AVA in the Woods, Arcadia and more.

WHERE IS IT ON?

It’s on in the grounds of Curraghmore House in Co. Waterford. The nearest town is Portlaw, which is about 10 mins drive from the estate. It’s also about 15/20 mins drive from Carrick-on-Suir, 30 mins drive from Waterford City and about an hour from Kilkenny City.

HOW DO I GET THERE?

As there were major problems with traffic in 2019 that led to delays of hours getting into the site, these problems have been addressed by organisers with a new traffic plan in place.

If you’re driving from Dublin, it’ll take you about 2 hours. It’s just under 2 hours from Cork City and about 3 hours from Galway City. Festival organisers have advised attendees not to travel via Carrick-on-Suir if you’re driving, and instead to follow the routes advised here (and not via Google Maps/Sat Nav, as it won’t get you all the way to the festival site!)

If you’re not driving, the nearest train is in Waterford City; Plunkett Station is 5 minutes’ walk from the bus station, which is running shuttles to the festival site.

If you’re planning to get the bus, Bus Eireann Expressway is running a return service from Dublin, Cork and Waterford - see here.

IS THERE CAR PARKING?

Yes. Car parking is free if you have a weekend ticket, and car parks will be open from 9am on Friday (or 4pm Thursday if you have an Early Entry pass.)

WHAT’S THE WEATHER GOING TO BE LIKE?

According to Yr.no, Friday is looking decent: a mix of sunshine and clouds, with highs of 20c and lows of 12c throughout the day.

Saturday is looking cloudy with a chance of some showers during the day, with temps ranging from 16-21c.

Sunday is unfortunately looking a little less pleasant, with rain forecast throughout the afternoon and evening - so pack that mac.

WHAT ABOUT THE STAGE TIMES?

You’ll be able to find out the stage times by downloading the festival app - for iPhone and Android
