MTV's Video Music Awards were a bit of mess last night, what with Miley Cyrus being the talk of the town/globe after her performance with Robin Thicke, but let's not forget that there were actual awards to be given out at the ceremony (if you can call it that) in Brooklyn, NYC.
Justin Timberlake was rewarded for his 16 minute performance on the night with not one but four awards, including Video of the Year and the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis took home three gongs from MTV, nabbing Best Hip-Hop Video and Best Cinematography for 'Can't Hold Us' and Best Video With a Social Message for 'Same Love'. Then there was the usual handing out of awards to the biggest names at the moment so that they'd come to the awards and MTV's ratings would be better, with Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift and One Direction all taking home Moon Men.
