Oscar nominee Adele will perform 'Skyfall' live for the very first time at the 85th Academy Awards on February 24th.
Adele's theme from Skyfall is the first James Bond theme song to be nominated for Best Song since Sheena Easton's 'For Your Eyes Only' in 1981.
Speaking of the announcement, Adele said: "It's an honour to be nominated and terrifyingly wonderful to be singing in front of people who have captured my imagination over and over again. It's something I've never experienced and probably only will once!"
Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, producers of the Oscars show said in a statement: "[Adele] is currently one of the most successful recording artists in the world, and we believe that her performance of 'Skyfall' will be an exciting Oscar moment for audiences watching the Dolby Theatre and on television screens around the world."
Rumours are rampant that all six James Bonds - Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig - will appear together during Adele's performance.
