The 'Voyage' shows kick off later this month
ABBA - or at least a version of them - kick off their highly-anticipated shows at London's Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park later this month.
The Swedish pop icons will stage a groundbreaking 'digital avatar' show featuring younger versions of themselves in hologram-form, performing with a 10-piece live band that was put together by former Klaxons member James Righton (aka Mr. Keira Knightley.)
Righton had previously worked with the band on last year's comeback album 'Voyage'. The live band also includes Victoria Hesketh, aka Little Boots - best known for pop hits like 'New in Town' and 'Remedy'.
The concerts will take place in a 3,000-capacity purpose-built 'ABBA Arena' at the park, with shows running from May 27th until December.
The show's producers describe it as a 'magical space circus' and have now revealed what the digital avatars of Agnetha, Anni-Frid, Benny and Bjorn will look like. To be fair, they are extremely lifelike.
