The Irish musician will help to select the recipient of the four-year scholarship
She is a legend of the Irish music scene, and now Sinead O'Connor's name has been immortalised in a scholarship.
The Dubliner, who also goes by the name 'Shuhada Sadaqat', is involved in a new scholarship with Dublin music college BIMM.
She'll help select the recipient of the Sinead O'Connor Scholarship, which will be awarded to one student for the four-year BA (Hons) Commercial Modern Music undergraduate course.
Past pupils of the college include Fontaines DC, The Murder Capital, Erica Cody and Craig Fitzgerald, frontman of The Academic.
O'Connor said: "Am absolutely delighted to be involved with this scholarship and look forward to choosing the recipient. I thank BIMM very much for the honour".
The scholarship will start in the 2020/21 academic year.
Tutors at the city centre-based college include JJ72's Mark Greaney, Bell X1's Dave Geraghty and members of Delorentos and Villagers.
O'Connor will undertake a short Irish tour this summer.
