The star is set to appear on five late-night US chat shows

Fans of female pop stars from all over the world are preparing themselves for a big announcement later this week.

According to Pop Cave on Twitter, a mystery female pop star is set to make an appearance on many of the late-night US chat shows this coming Thursday, August 8th. The five shows listed as having a "special guest" are 'The Late Show With Stephen Colbert', 'Conan', 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon', 'Late Night With Seth Meyers', and 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'.

 

But the mystery is... who could it be? Whoever it is, it's clear that they have a jam-packed day of guest appearances, interviews, and potential performances ahead of themselves.

One of the most prominent female pop stars of late that has teased new music coming in the near future has been Rihanna. The star has said in the past that her new album will arrive this year, and months ago she revealed that her newest release was "about done". Fans online have been speculating that the mystery guest is indeed the pop star.

 

However, there are a few more names that have been thrown into the mix. Names such as Adele, Lady Gaga, and Beyonce (who have a total of 47 Grammy Awards between them) could also be releasing new music quite soon. Adele last released '25' in 2015, while Lady Gaga's 'Joanne' and Beyonce's 'Lemonade' were both in 2016.

 

In all fairness, this is complete speculation and we more than likely won't find out who this "special guest" is until the end of the week. Let us know who you think it might be - but our money is on Rihanna.
