Tupac Shakur was undoubtedly one of the most influential rappers of his generation - but did you know that he was also an aspiring restaurauter?
Shakur had envisaged opening a restaurant called the Powamekka Cafe before his death, and now his dream will become a reality when the Sweet Chick restaurant, which is co-owned by Nas, will turn into the Powamekka Cafe this weekend.
The pop-up restaurant in New York will feature some of Tupac's favourite dishes, from gumbo to meatloaf to his cousin Jamala’s fried chicken wings, and more. There will also be limited edition merchandise and an exhibition of memorabilia, featuring photos, poetry and more.
It's the second time that the Powamekka Cafe - which Tupac made notes and sketches of (below) - has come to life, after a burger restaurant in Fresno, California hosted a one-day-only pop-up last year.
