Shakespeare's bittersweet romantic comedy, updated to a pre-WWII musical featuring the songs of Cole Porter, George Gershwin et al, sounds like a migraine-in-the-waiting. Branagh, though, invests the tale with style and verve to produce an unlikely triumph that's as much homage to Busby Berkeley as it is to the Bard.
