Zac Efron is the make his first film as a producer and star, when he headlines the American remake of the Swedish thriller, Snabba Cash, which translates to Easy Money - just like the High School Musical sequels *cue punchline drum.
Efron pulled out of the planned remake of Footloose a while back over concerns about typecasting, and was replaced by Chase Crawford - who also left the project. After the breakout success of 17 Again and the indie garnering cred of starring in Richard Linklater movie, Me and Orson Welles, Efron is still very much hot property in Hollywood.
His latest film, the drama, Charlie St. Cloud, is currently in post production and should see a release later this year.
