Yesterday, everybody remembers The Beatles. Today, only Jack (Himesh Patel) does.
Take the director of 'Slumdog Millionaire' and the writer of 'Love, Actually' and 'Four Weddings And A Funeral' and the back catalogue of The Beatles and you've got 'Yesterday'.
The idea behind the movie is pretty simple - Jack (Himesh Patel) wakes up after a bicycle accident and is the only person on the planet who knows who The Beatles are. He's able to sing, play guitar and piano, and remembers all of their hits - so what happens now? Well, as you'd expect, Jack's struggling music career begins to flourish and he's off into super-stardom.
Going by the trailer, there'll be cameos everywhere - including Kate McKinnon, Ed Sheeran, and probably Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr at some point as well. It's early days yet, of course, but given how successful 'Love, Actually' has been for Richard Curtis and 'Slumdog Millionaire' for Danny Boyle, there's a good chance this is going to be a huge movie.
'Yesterday' hits Irish cinemas on June 26th.
