The Cannes Film Festival opens tonight with Woody Allen's latest romatic-comedy romp Midnight In Paris. The film's stars Rachel McAdams, Adrien Brody, Michael Sheen and the notoriously media-shy Owen Wilson are set to walk the red carpet in advance of the screening. Allen's film also features French actress, singer and first lady Carla Bruni who has announced that she will not be attending the premiere, fuelling rumours that she's a)pregnant or b) terrible in the movie.
However, some of the film industry's biggest names will be descending on the French Riviera for the festival. 'Pirates 4' stars Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz are set to appear, along with Angelia Jolie, Jodie Foster and Dustin Hoffman. The winner of the festival's top prize - The Palme d'Or - will be decided by a jury which includes Robert De Niro, Jude Law and Uma Thurman.
The festival runs until May 22nd.
