Will Smith has added the film, City That Sailed, to his to do list, and will reteam with his I Am Legend director Francis Lawrence for the whimsical sounding tale. The script by Andrew Niccol (The Truman Show), centres on a little girl who wishes her street magician father in Manhattan was closer to her home in England so much, that Manhattan comes off the side of America and floats over there. Sounds very sweet and it'll be interesting to see how Lawrence would handle the obvious aesthetic difficulties with assembling effects and whatnot. I enjoyed I Am Legend, even if his CGI wasn't always convincing; I think if he plugged those holes in his directorial style he'd be very close to becoming a top drawer helmer. Smith hasn't committed to any other films, so could go with this when he pleases.
