Will Smith and Martin Lawrence have confirmed via Instagram that they're working on 'Bad Boys 3'.
A second sequel to the action comedy has been on and off again for years now.
On Wednesday, Lawrence posted a photo with Smith on Instagram captioned: "It’s official!"
Yesterday, Smith shared a video post confirming the news. He yells excitedly into the camera alongside his co-star: "It's official baby! Bad Boys 3 is happening!"
'Bad Boys' was released in 1995, followed by 'Bad Boys II' in 2003. In spite of a mixed critical reception, both films proved big money makers in the box office. The first film made $141 million at the box office from a $19 million budget while the sequel grossed $273 million worldwide.
According to Deadline, production is starting mid-January with Belgian directors Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah at the helm and a script by Chris Bremner.
The franchise’s original producer Jerry Bruckheimer is also returning.
'Bad Boys For Life' is scheduled to open on January 17, 2020.
