Sometimes, your first date movie is 'The Notebook'. Other times, it's David Cronenberg's 'Scanners'.
A first date movie isn't always the best you'll ever see.
In fact, it can be pretty awful and awkward for all parties concerned. Some people end up seeing movies like 'The Pianist' or 'Shame' on a first date. Others see relatively safe ones like 'When Harry Met Sally' or 'The Notebook'.
These examples, however, are some of the worst.
Take a look.

Requiem for a Dream. Second date, in his gaff and we were 18. To make matters worse, his housemate and some girl were having loud, awkward protracted sex upstairs. There was no third date.

Tony Manero! Its combination of surprise violence and cringe comedy sex scenes made it not the perfect 2nd date movie.

Haneke’s The Piano Teacher. Rented it out with then GF- a random choice. Bad idea. Also went on a blind date once to see Nanni Moretti’s The Son’s Room, which got things off to a very jolly start.
