You go, Gomez

2022 is the year of Gomez. She's been nominated for an Emmy for 'Only Murders in the Building', she's rumoured to produce a remake of 'Working Girl', her beauty brand Rare Beauty is growing, and she's practically started a body positivity movement online. So, honestly, it's about damn time she had a documentary — and we're buzzing to know more about her.

Notoriously, the limelight can take its toll on celebrities' mental health; especially nowadays when we have such access to the people we see on red carpets and big screens. Opinions, questions, and unfortunately hatred can be shared with the tap, tap, tap of a few keys via social media.

As one of the biggest stars in Hollywood with 344 million Instagram followers and having grown up as a 'Barney' kid, we can imagine the pressure on Selena Gomez was and perhaps still is... pretty immense.

Deadline reported that the upcoming documentary 'Selena Gomez: My Mind and Me' will chart her journey through stardom and celebrity, which often can seem one-sided; glamorous, lavish, and luxurious. But Gomez will share 6 years of her life with us, ups, downs, and everything in between.

As a singer with 45 billion streams, a Disney kid with 'Wizards of Waverly Place', and a producer on the likes of '13 Reasons Why', she's got to be one of Hollywood's biggest assets. She's also taken huge leaps toward nurturing positive spaces to discuss and manage our mental health, like with her company WonderMind.

Apple Original Films have the rights to the documentary directed and produced by Alek Keshishian. The project is a second collaboration between Apple, Lighthouse Management + Media and Interscope Films after the documentary film 'Billie Eilish: The World's A Little Blurry'.

Gomez is excited to open up about her story and even shared a clip on Twitter showcasing a snippet of the documentary title on a cinema screen. We can't wait for this insight into the raw and honest story of the life of Ms Selena Gomez.
