Al Gore was Vice President of America for 8 years under President Bill Clinton. He ran himself against George W. Bush in 2000 and lost, what many believe, to be a controversial election when a recount in Florida was halted as he was within a few hundred votes of Bush.
Gore has been on a mission as an Environmental Activist for decades, winning an Oscar for the first documentary, An Inconvenient Truth and being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his work.
An Inconvenient Sequel is out this Friday, August 18th and our editor Mike Sheridan talks to the former Vice President about climate change, Irish politicians who are climate change deniers, where the hope comes from in more progressive world leaders and much more.
