You might not realise it, but you know Clint Mansell's work. Whether it was directly listening to his modern classic scores from the likes of Black Swan, Moon or The Fountain to name but a few, or the countless adverts and other movie trailers that re-appropriated his work, it's next to impossible that you haven't heard one of his musical masterpieces.
Playing at the National Concert Hall in Dublin on October 12th, we were lucky enough to get a long sit-down chat with the man himself, and we talked about everything from the beginnings of his career, why he works so well with director Darren Aranofsky, his opinions on current movie scores, and where his own future lies.
