The rumour mill regarding the casting of Superman has started to gain pace, after a casting call was leaked for actors from 28 - 32 years of age for the role - ruling out fan favourite Jon Hamm. The name now being mooted is Watchmen star, Matthew Goode.

According to Movie Newz, the actor is now the front runner to play the man of steel, having worked with the new films director, Zack Synder, on Watchmen. They also said that Superman's muscular torso will be CGI, ala what we've seen so far from The Green Lantern footage. The idea is that Goode, if rumours are true, wouldn't have to get in ridiculously good shape for the part. Ryan Reynolds is in ridiculously good shape, though - is the CGI torso/suit just to avoid tights?

Anyhow, bring Brandon Routh back. He deserves another shot at Supes, and hopefully Synder, at the very least, looks at him for the part.
