The word 'badass' is thrown around somewhat willy-nilly these days, so we're going to qualify it here and now - it's when you beat up a car with your own fists.
Vince Vaughn's shift from comedic roles to darker, less sympathetic roles has been interesting to watch. While not everyone was a fan of True Detective's second season, Vaughn did have some engaging moments in it.
This film, however, seems to firmly be set on pushing him away from his days as a comedy foil to Owen Wilson et al. Directed by S. Craig Zahler, who directed 2015's excellent Western horror hybrid Bone Tomahawk, Vaughn plays a former boxer who becomes a drug courier that is caught and sent to a brutal prison run by Don Johnson.
Take a look.
Vince Vaughn, it has to be said, looks terrifying in this and there's definitely a sense that he's going to give one hell of a performance with this.
There's no word yet on an Irish release date, but we'll be keeping an eye out for this one.
